I had a great weekend and did everything stated in my last post except going to the lake. We just couldn’t fit it in our busy weekend. Kalli and I both loved The Proposal. Saturday I baked a cake to take to the brother-in-laws BBQ and was so proud of myself for only having a tiny piece of it and I even skipped the homemade icecream! I have started back on my pilates workout and my elliptical machine.

We have reached the triple digits every day this week! The highest being on Wednesday at 102. I am having to water my plants daily and there seems to be no rain in sight! I am dreading my next electric bill. I was so sad to hear of Farrah and Michael Jackson passing :(

I can’t believe it has almost been a week since I last posted! Not much to say I guess. Dad got out of the hospital Sunday around noon. I was there to take him home and do a few things around the house for him. He slept most of the time I was there. I am so thankful that he has two brothers that live in Crockett and check in on him daily, along with his good friend Richard who keeps a close watch on him. When I talked to dad last night he said he felt great and sounded really good!

Tuesday morning I gave Bella a bath so she would be smelling good for her vet appointment that afternoon. She is doing great, and the x-rays show her leg is healing nicely. She is pretty much back to her usual self but she does hold her leg (the one she broke) up at times, but she is running and jumping on it at other times. When I returned home from the vet I had a message on my answering machine from my dad telling me he was in the hospital with pneumonia. He was actually put in on Monday, but didn’t call me until Tuesday! After my eye doctor appointment on Wednesday, Kalli and I went to see him. I had talked to him earlier that day and he said he was doing great but when we got there his heart was racing and they were trying to get it regulated. They gave him a shot that I can’t recall the name of that helped for a bit but when we were about to leave the racing started again. He can’t feel the racing though, they just know that it is happening from a heart monitor they have attached to him. So if you don’t mind, please keep him prayer.

The clinic never did call me Friday to let me know if they found the missing tape, so I’m guessing they didn’t. Kalli and I made it to the movies Friday to see The Hangover - very good and funny!! Saturday evening we went to Crockett and picked up my dad and went to eat at a new restaurant there called Tchoputulous (I think that is the correct spelling) pronounced chop a two la’s. I have heard nothing but good things about this place and they didn’t disappoint, well except for the prices, which were outrageous! Thank goodness the food was good, and we will save this place for special occasions only - like anniversaries, birthdays, etc.
