We have a new visitor…an armadillo that has been visiting us every night for the past week. We haven’t actually saw the armadillo yet, but my yard is a mess where he has been digging and now he has ventured into my recently new rock flowerbed! The shotgun is loaded and sitting by the door. If we don’t see the little demon soon Rudy and I will have to take turns on night watch duty! Last night we attended the bonfire at our school. Homecoming is this week and they always have a bonfire the Wednesday before with lots of tailgate parties. The weather was still so hot and would have been really nice to have it tonight since our cool front did make it! Our high today was only 73. I went to Athens to visit Matthew today before he went to school, as I had some paperwork to do for their lease. I was surprised at how clean the apartment was. Even the kitchen was clean after they had cooked hamburgers the other night. The grill was all clean, countertops clean, and just a few dishes in the sink. Matthew’s bathroom was even clean and he had even used his magic wand toilet bowl brush, LOL! He has never kept his room at home clean so what is up with that!?! His roommate’s bathroom wasn’t that clean, but I will let his mother handle that one! Tomorrow, I have a doctor appointment in Tyler and afterward plan on doing a little shopping before heading home. I’m looking for something Autumnish to put on my breakfast table. I better scoot as tonight is my TV night and I haven’t started dinner yet! ~hugs & blessings~

We didn’t get near the rain or damage that was expected here in East Texas. I am so glad that Rita is out of here and was much milder than Katrina. I hope the cold front comes in on Thursday as stated by the weatherman. We are still reaching the high 90’s in the afternoons. Kalli got her bottom braces on this afternoon. I had went ahead and made my spaghetti sauce this morning and had the lettuce all washed and crisping in the refrigerator. I am so glad because we were a lot longer at the orthodonist office than I was expecting to be. When we got home all I had to do was make my salad, cook the noodles, and heat up the sauce. Matthew called me just as we were finishing dinner to give me his new phone number and asked me for a recipe on how to cook hamburgers. He and his roommate are cooking burgers on his George Foreman Grill. I can’t wait to find out how their dinner was!

Still reaching the 90’s! Saturday we had a birthday party to attend for my father-in-law. I made the Macaroni & Cheese with ham, which everyone loved. I also made a Cornucopia Salad, which was very good also, and a Strawberry Delight…delicious! I didn’t feel like cooking anything today and probably want tomorrow either since I have a Sorority meeting and Kalli is going with her History class to eat Chinese. They are studying China and the teacher wants to try to teach them to eat with chop sticks. I really think he just wants a good excuse to eat Chinese food! Today we went to see “Just Like Heaven” with Reese Witherspoon; a very enjoyable movie so go see it if you get the chance.
