High 75, Low 55. It has warmed up quite a bit and we are expecting rain this afternoon and evening. So much for trick-or-treating. I live in the country so I want be getting any trick-or-treaters. I do miss that though. I always enjoyed seeing the kids dressed up when we lived in town (11 years ago). Last nights Desperate Housewives was a rerun! I got all ready to sit down for it and got a big disappointment so I spent that time paying bills. Friday evening we met friends (Dan & Dora) at Apple Bee’s for dinner and then we all headed to the high school football game. Yesterday, we went to church and afterward watched the Dallas Cowboy and Arizona Cardinals game. My Cowboys won!! We are buying another rent house so after the game we went to see how much work is needed on the house before it is ready to rent. On the way home we stopped by my sister-in-law’s to see the new house they are in the process of building. Tonight Kalli has a Halloween party to go to and our church will have it’s annual trunk-or-treat so Rudy and I will go there for a little while to help serve hot dogs and drinks. It’s pretty neat with people decorating their cars for Halloween and parking their vehicles in the church parking lot and having the kids come through the line up for candy. It’s a good way to keep the kids safe plus we serve free hot dogs and a drink for the kids and adults, as well. It’s also good fellowship! I opted for hot dog duty this year instead of decorating my car. I hope everyone has a safe and happy Halloween! ~Hugs & Blessings~

Low 45, High 72 The White Sox won the World Series last night. The score was 1 to 0. I was rooting for the Astros, but the White Sox did play an outstanding game last night, as well as the other 3 games in the series. The Astros didn’t play well any of the 4 games they played in the series, but they have to proud of themselves for making it this far! I’m glad it’s over, now maybe I can get something done besides sitting in front of the television every evening. Of course, that want start tonight, all of my shows are on tonight such as Survivor, The Apprentice, and ER, but I want have to be flipping back and forth trying to watch the ballgame and my shows. Isn’t life so difficult sometimes, lol! Yesterday, I spent most of the day cleaning house and after it warmed up I did some cleaning up outside, and cleaned out my car. This morning I had had more errands to run, which seems like they are never ending, bought groceries, and have been studying since. Taking a break right now so I thought I would post an entry. I hope everyone is having a fabulous Thursday. ~hugs & blessings~

Low 42, High 71. I stayed up until 1:30 watching the Astros/White Sox game. They played 14 innings and lost to the White Sox 5 to 7. The White Sox are now 3/0 and only one game away of winning the World Series. They play again tonight. I’m cleaning house this morning then have a few errands to run, and hopefully can get a nap in so I will be ready for tonights game. I have taken a break from work, at least until I finish the study for CMT (certification for medical transcriptionist). I so want to get this study behind me and it will provide better pay and a lot more opportunities. Our local hospitals require certification, and the pay along with the benefits are excellent. I am really lucky to be working for a company that will allow me to take time off for this. I better get going, running behind this morning! I do wish everyone a wonderful and happy Wednesday! ~Hugs & Blessings~

Low 42, High 68 Still no rain, but our temps are wonderful. We had a really good time at the festival on Saturday and the weather was perfect for it. The Astros have lost the first 2 games to the White Sox. They play again on Tuesday in Houston so hopefully playing on their own turf will help. The Cowboys lost to the Seahawks today. We went to church this morning, rushed home to grill hamburgers, and finished just in time for the Cowboys game. That is all I have done today is watch sports except for the hour that Desperate Housewives was on. I had to flip back and forth from the Astros game and DH. Rudy was watching the Astros on Kalli’s T.V. and we were yelling back and forth about runs, outs, and hits. I’m sure we sounded ridiculous! It’s almost midnight so I’m off to bed. ~Hugs & Blessings~

Low 55, High 73. Currently Reading: When God Whispers Your Name by Max Lucado It happened! The cold front came in and it has been so nice today. I opened up my doors this morning as soon as I got out of bed, to let the cool fresh air in. I hadn’t had them opened 5 minutes when Peaches came running in with a bird in her mouth. Yuck, and I am still finding feathers this afternoon! Tomorrow is our annual Hot Pepper Festival. There will be a parade and lots of booths set up with food and crafts. I probably want make the parade but will check out the crafts and the food of course, and will have to have a funnel cake. I love those and the sausage on a stick. They are having a German section this year with German sausage, sauerkraut, potato salad, and German beer. I’m sure Rudy will want to check that out. I think we are going to dinner tonight, just the two of us, or order in. I have the movie “Crash” to watch so we will most likely order in.
