Tax Time

Published by Tracey under Church, Family, General

High 70, Low 50 I have been really busy getting tax stuff together. I finished Rudy’s 1099’s just in time to get them out before the deadline (today). Now I will start on his business tax deductions, then comes my transcription and MaryKay, and then our personal along with our rent houses. I so dread this time of year but thank goodness it only comes once a year. On top of that I have been working and trying to not get too far behind on my studies. I got my book “Night” from Amazon, but haven’t had time to start it. Last night I had a meeting to attend at church for the Safe Sanctuary Committee. I am so proud that our church is implementing this into our church policy for the safety of the children, as well as for the safety of the one’s who work with the children. It was a long meeting but well worth it. I will try to make visits tonight after dinner. Hugs and blessings dear friends!

Enjoying The Sunshine

Published by Tracey under Books, Gardening, General, Recipes, Weather

High 65, Low 42 I have been outside all morning raking leaves and picking up limbs and such. This is perfect weather to do just that. I even had to take off my jacket after it starting warming up. I’m not finished but took a break to read the mail and newspaper, and have a cup of tea outside. I have all of my doors open airing out the house. I love days like this, but I would also love a snow day before winter is over. Gilmore Girls was a rerun again so I spent that hour finishing up my book “When Wallflowers Dance” by Angela Thomas. I have “Night” by Elie Wiesel ordered from Amazon and got an email this morning that it is on it’s way. This is Oprah’s Book of The Month pick and I can’t wait to get it. Speaking of Oprah, did anyone see yesterday’s show about bird flu and what did you think? Scary huh? Last night for dinner I fixed a yummy homemade Roasted Chicken Noodle Soup. I’m planning on starting a recipe page at Buttercup Hill to post my favorite recpies. Will let you know when I have it up to share. Have a wonderful blessed day my friends.

Lotsa Rain

Published by Tracey under General, Weekends

High 46, Low 38 We are getting lots of rain today and we also got a good rain on Friday! I hope this gets us out of the drought. I have been working this weekend as the doctor wasn’t finished on Thursday so I picked up on Friday instead. Just as well since it has been raining and not much else to do. We had a wonderful guest speaker at church today and afterwards went out for lunch. I have just a little bit of work left to finish up and then I am going to go sit in front of the fireplace and read on my book. Did anyone catch Oprah on Friday - the one where the parents hired a stripper for their son’s 16th birthday party. I was floored over this. We wonder what is wrong with kids these days well, what is wrong with parents?!? What is the world coming to?

Kids Are Fun!

Published by Tracey under Family, General

High 64, Low 45 No rain yet, but looking hopeful! My son Matt came in today sporting bling-bling in his ears! Yes, they are real. I was hoping not, but they are. We have already been through the tattoo stage and I was hoping we were going to bypass the earring stage, but I guess not! The best way for me to get through this kind of thing is to remind myself what he isn’t into like drugs, alcohol, and gangs - He just looks like one that belongs to a gang, LOL! I have to laugh so I don’t cry! I have done absolutely nothing fun this weekend, just study and prepare some for work next week. The kids are out of school tomorrow so we are thinking of doing a little shopping and I have a sorority meeting tomorrow night. I have two gifts to show off. The darling sigtag is from  Kellie  and the Valentine girl is from Kat I love them girls. Thanks so much!
