Fun Trip
High 72, Low 65 Our trip to Shreveport, LA was wonderful! Within walking distance from where we were staying was Boardwalk with lots of shops, eateries, game rooms, movies, and coffee shops. Rudy dropped us off there and went on to the Horseshoe. The next day we were headed to Arlington for Six Flags but the weather was nasty so we ended up going on to Plano and did a little antique shopping along the way. Our trip was short but fun and I think I have shopping out of my blood for a while now. This afternoon if it is not raining we are headed to Athens to load up Matt’s furniture and move him home. I am in the process of cleaning downstairs in the basement for him to move in and Rudy is installing more lights. We have a huge basement that is not finished, but we are going for the rustic look. He can always move back into his bedroom if he chooses. Well I need to get off here and get busy. I will try to make visits sometime today. Have a blessed weekend dear friends!
High 85, Low 65 After church we went out to eat for lunch then came home and I had work to finish up for tomorrow. Then we worked in the yard - mowing and weed eating. It’s that time of year again. Kalli is on spring break this week so this evening we planned out something to do this week, kinda spur of the moment. On Tuesday we are going to Shreveport and while Rudy is at the boats Kalli and I will go shopping. I didn’t book us a room because I am hoping he does well enough or not well, that they comp us a room. Either way there are plenty of rooms in that area to get. Then we are going to Dallas for ice skating and maybe Arlington to Six Flags, and then more shopping in Plano if our funds allow us. We plan on being back on Thursday, but it will probably be late. Friday, we have to move Matt back home. His school is out May 4th and his rent is due on the 1st and I don’t see any reason to pay a full months rent for just a few days. He will drive back and forth those last few days of school. If I don’t make visits tonight I will be by tomorrow for sure! 
High 81, Low 68 Do you ever just have nothing at all to blog about? It has been a boring day, busy, but boring. I have done laundry nonstop it seems and cleaned out my closet. Matt and Kalli both have plans for tonight with friends. Rudy and I are about to fix our dinner. We are having boiled shrimp, grilled shrimp with garlic butter, boudain, and corn on the cob. It’s kind of a weird combination, but I wanted boudain and he wanted shrimp so we are having both. We are dining on the deck and I have all of my best linens out to fix up our patio table, along with candles. It doesn’t get dark around here until around 8 so we have to wait for dinner so we can use the candles. Also, I still have my Christmas lights up on my deck, lol, so we will having lighting from those as well. I’m sure you have heard…you might be a redneck if…you still have your Christmas lights up in April! 
High 88, 68 Last night was our annual Founder’s Day for sorority. Here is a pic of my sorority group. I am the one on the left sitting down!
High 91, Low 68 I have been trying to get DSL through our telephone company for 3 years. Today when I got home I had a notice from Sprint taped to my door announcing that it will be available May 1st! Now I can get a router and have all computers hooked up to be online at the same time…life is good! We had a wonderful church sermon Easter morning following with the decorating of the cross. They had a huge wooden cross and had chicken wire covering it. Everyone was given a fresh flower of some sort to place on the cross. I wish I had my camera because it was gorgeous covered in flowers.
