Our low temp was 22…brrrr, but I love it! I just didn’t want the rain but Friday is suppose to be cold and sunshine. I made my Taco Soup and it was so good. I have enough for leftovers tonight. Did I mention that the Chocolate Bourbon Pecan pie that I made is now up on my recipe pages?!? Several asked about the recipe for Taco Soup so here it is…
Taco Soup
2 lb lean ground meat
2 cans Veg-All
1 can pinto beans
1 can corn
1 can Ro-Tel tomatoes
1 pkg taco seasoning
1 pkg Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix
1 large onion, diced

The tree is all decked out. Now I want to decorate my mantle but haven’t found any pretty greenery yet. I have quite a bit of work to do so no shopping today. The weatherman said we may get sleet on Thursday?!? I would love it, but I’m not getting my hopes up. I think we are going to have Taco Soup tonight unless I wait til it gets colder on Thursday. It is so delicious on a cold day. A new poll up so don’t forget to vote! Have a blessed day my friends.

We had a wonderful visit with my family on Saturday and had really good BBQ brisket and ribs. I got my tree up yesterday but not decorated. Kalli was gone most of the day and wanted to help me so we will probably do that tonight. I am going today to get some ribbon to make bows for the top of my tree with long streamers and see what else I can find to use on the top. Then I will stop by the office to pick up work and go by the bank to make a deposit. Not much else planned today but depending on how much work I pick up, if it isn’t a lot I might stop by Old Town to see if I can find a few gifts. I appreciate all of the supoort from all of you on passwording my blog and thank you to those of you, you couldn’t get in with one click and had to keep trying. I know it is annoying because I have to do the same thing when visiting my own site. Maybe I will be able to take it down soon. Have a blessed Monday!

Please don’t think that I have password protected my site because of any of you, my dear online friends! I hated to do this because I’m afraid I will lose visitors and you all mean so much to me. I did this because of a certain family member, my niece to be exact! I can say that now that I have it passworded, lol! She is only 11 but she reads my blog, never leaves a comment, but then when we get together with family members she goes into detail all about my blog and what is on it, all about my post. I have told her that if she wants to read my blog and visit my site that is fine with me but to let me know that she visited but she want. I have also told her that if the family members wanted to hear about my blog they could come and read it for themselves but to stop blabbing about my blog. I am very careful what I write there in case family members do come by and I really don’t mind anyone visiting at all but this niece of mine just gets under my skin with the way she is. I know that sounds horrible to talk that way about an 11-year-old, but she is so disrespectful not just to me but to lots of family members and her mother does nothing, which I don’t think it would do much good. My rant is over. I hope this password protecting is just for a little while and not forever. I have sent the password to several but for some of you I couldn’t find your email at your site. Please email me and I will be glad to give it to you. kaudelka@earthlink.net

We are going to my MIL for Thanksgiving dinner and then we will watch the Cowboys play at 3. I am making a corn casserole, sweet potatoes, and 2 Butter Coconut pies. Saturday, my younger brother Kendale and his wife and kids will be here from New Mexico. We will get together at my dad’s for a BBQ. I am taking dirty rice, cornbread, and a Chocolate Bourbon Pecan pie. I just found this pie recipe in Southern Living and it is delicious and so easy. I haven’t had a chance to add it to my recipe pages but will soon along with a bunch of other favorites I have! I wish each one of you and your family a very blessed and Happy Thanksgiving. We all have so much to be thankful for. Here are just a few things that I am thankful for: God, family, my church and church family, a roof over my head with plenty of food to eat and warmth or cool air when I need it. I am also thankful for my job and Rudy’s job that helps provides all of these things. I am thankful for our health, all of my online friends, my Bible so that I can learn more and become closer to my Heavenly Father.
