Spur Of The Moment

On the “spur of the moment” yesterday, Rudy and I decided to head to Old Town Spring in Spring, Texas. We had a fun time just walking from shop to shop and sipping hot cocoa as it was a bit chilly. I was shopping with my Christmas money and found a cute pair of privo shoes that were 20% off, but that is all I bought there. We then headed to the Galleria in Houston and I found the oh so cutest and comfy pj’s at 50% off so my $60 pj’s cost me $30. I also got a new Brighton purse that I just love (not on sale). Pics to come later. We stopped at Joe’s Crab Shack on the way home and had grilled shrimp on rice with veggies.

I had a productive day yesterday with it being a rainy day. I got some much needed cleaning out and organizing done along with my workout and my Bible study is caught up. I also checked into several puppy trainers ranging from $99 to $600, yes I said $600. I will be passing on that one. I have a few more to check into to get pricing and dates to begin and one is here in my area, but did not answer so hopefully they will return my call. All of the rest are in Tyler with the exception of the $600 dollar one that is only 30 minutes from me. That is way too much to pay to just learn basic obedience. In the afternoon, Kalli and I watched “The Devil Wears Prada” one of her Christmas presents. It is a cute movie. Shortly after our movie they announced on our local weather channel that we were under a tornado watch and not too long after that we were under a tornado warning! So we gathered up all the animals and took them downstairs to the basement and then gathered other supplies such as blankets, pillows, and flashlights. We never did have to go down there but we were ready in case. When we went to let the animals out of the basement Peaches was not a very happy camper being locked up with the dogs, lol! Have a blessed day dear friends!

I hit the sales yesterday with some disappointment. The Christmas decorations I had my eye on before Christmas were already taken. I did however get my Christmas cards for next year and picked up some really pretty wrapping paper for almost nothing. I also got a daily planner for $3 at Barnes and Noble. Before hitting the sales I did my pilates workout so I’m doing good so far, lol! Today is calling for rain so I will put away more of my decorations, do my workout and work on my Bible study that has been badly neglected. I am also checking into dog training for Chloe. She is already at 29 pounds and only 4 months old. I can barely pick her up as she is dead weight. She will walk with her leash fairly well but not when going into the vet or coming out! I can sign her up at PetSmart for $99 for 8-weeks of training which I didn’t think was bad at all but I would have to drive to Tyler once a week which is an hour away. I want to check locally to see what they have to offer before committing to that drive.

We went to see “The Pursuit of Happyness” last night and enjoyed it very much! I had a massive heap of laundry to do yesterday and did a little cleaning and cleaned out the refrigerator. I am ready to get rid of all the holiday food! Yuck…I don’t even want to look at it or think about it anymore. Today I am taking Chloe to the vet. This is her rescheduled visit from last week when I was sick and couldn’t take her and then I have a few errands to run. Have a very blessed day!
