:bdayiggy: To my little brother, Kendale! He turns 40 today! He called me yesterday to thank me for the birthday card I sent him. He called from New Mexico where he lives and I told him he should have just waited because he knows I am going to call him on his birthday as I always do and it would save him some money, but he said he had free minutes on his cell phone and also said I had still better call him today to wish him a happy birthday, lol!

Rudy and I went to dinner last night at Bejing’s (Chinese) and then to see Disturbia. Great movie and the food was delicious. Earlier yesterday, I cleaned up outside some and then came in and cleaned and straightened my dresser drawers. We are going to church this morning, which I need to make this quick so I can go get ready and then home to cook. We are having brisket, beans, potato salad, oriental salad, and mexican cornbread. Matt and Julie will be here to eat. Kalli is gone with a friend and the family for the weekend to San Antonio. She will be returning late tonight. I wish I were there on the Riverwalk. It’s not easy photographing this dress without someone in it but at least you will have some kind of idea what it looks like. I couldn’t figure out how to get the date off of my camera but didn’t want to crop the bottom of the dress.

The back has crisscross straps. On the day of prom I will get plenty of pics with her in it.

We are all moved to our new server. The move went smoothly…I never knew it was taking place. I will try to get a pic of Kalli’s dress today. I won’t make you wait until the prom to see it, but of course I will get pics on prom day too.

We had such a good time yesterday shopping. Kalli’s prom dress is black with antique beading and is gorgeous, plus it was on sale! Seems most of the Dallas area has already had their prom so they had lots of sales going on in the prom dress department. We also found jewelry so now all we need are shoes. I did a bit of shopping myself and got a pair of capris and two tops. Right after we left the Galleria they came on the radio to alert us to a tornado warning, but lucky for us, the area they mentioned was still a good ways from us. We had just made it in to Weir’s Furniture when the heavy rain came and it got nearly black outside but didn’t last for long. Weir’s has some really pretty furniture and we did find several pieces that would go good in Kalli’s room but they were out of stock. I guess that is good because we went to another store and found exactly what we were looking for but will have it made, because at this store the nightstand alone was $1500. Rudy is getting with his guy that builds furniture today to go over what we want. I also found a pretty comforter set at Dillards by Ralph Lauren but they were out of the queen size, but I checked with the Dillards in Tyler this morning and they have several. So looks like I will be making a trip to Tyler this week.
