~ Buttercup Hill ~

Rudy and I went to Lowe’s yesterday and ordered plantation shutters for Kalli’s bedroom. I also forgot to mention that we have all of the furniture built for her room, now I just need to finish decorating and then I will post pics. I can’t believe it has taken me so long…I guess you can say I am VERY picky! After Lowe’s we stopped by the grocery store and then headed home. Kalli had a few girls over to camp out here at our place. We have a small tent that they put up themselves and Rudy built them a fire in a little cast iron pot I have. Kalli called us from the camp site at 10 PM to invite us over for smore’s and she said to bring the bug spray. They were not far from the house…I could see them from the front porch, but they were far enough away they felt like they were on their own. On my way back to the house I reminded them that Shadow barks at any car that does not belong to the Kaudelka family, and also, that I would leave the front door unlocked :giggle: I will let you know in tomorrows post if they made it all night. Today we are headed to church and then home to see the Cowboys vs. St. Louis. After the game we are going to grill pork chops.

My Friday morning was spent outside enjoying the nice cool temps at 63. I didn’t want to come in but I knew I had things that needed to get done. I didn’t get the cabinets in the den cleaned out but I did get my Halloween decorations set out instead, and did some light cleaning. I also ran a few errands. I am going to cut back some on my blogging but not sure yet what days. I will let you know :coffeeput:
Today I am watering plants and then cleaning out more cabinets in my den. Rudy and I are discussing adding an island in our kitchen. Right now I have a table in the middle of my kitchen but I need something a little bigger and longer to serve food from at family get togethers. I have limited cabinet space so an island would be really nice adding a lot more storing space and drawer space. I am trying to figure out exactly how long and wide I want it so I have pulled the table that is in there all the way down to one end and have chairs sitting out in the middle of the floor that represents where the other end of the island would be. I’m trying it out to make sure I can still get around in my kitchen without bumping the island. (Hope that makes sense.) He is really busy with work right now so it may be a little while before he can start on it but I want to have it all planned out for when he is ready to begin.

I kind of figured Josie would be going home but I was surprised to see Mark Cuban in the bottom two! After DWTS the new show Private Practice was on and it is really good. It’s the spin-off from Grey’s Anatomy. I had taped Back to You and watched that right after Private Practice and then Until Death that I had taped. I am definitely going to have to weed out some of these shows. I spent 3 hours doing nothing but watching television. Tonight will be another night of TV with Survivor and Grey’s.

I went through my closet and got rid of a bunch of clothes I haven’t worn in the last 3 years and bagged them up to take to Good Will. I also straightened and cleaned up my shelves in my closet so it looks a lot less messy now. Then I hit my office and went through drawers and decluttered. It’s a wonder how we accumulate so much stuff. I got two sections completed in my CMT study and even managed to get in my pilates workout!
