After picking up work Monday I stopped at the grocery store and picked up a good deal of groceries. I shouldn’t have to go back for awhile except for milk and bread. Rudy was taking the trash out Tuesday morning and stepped on one of his arrows. It was one that was laying on the table outside and got knocked off and landed in a crack in the deck making it stick straight up. It didn’t go very deep but is very sore. I have tried to get him to go see a doctor but you know men and doctors! After dropping off my work on Tuesday I stopped by the courthouse and paid our county taxes. Because of all of our rent houses that took a big hunk out of our checking account but by paying them early we saved about $75.00. We had a nice dinner on the deck last night…we grilled steaks and I lit my metal pumpkin candle holders and had them sitting all around the deck and on the rail. I never even thought to take a picture. The temps were just perfect for dining outside. We have no plans for tonight. Do any of you do anything on Halloween? We use to take the kids trick or treating then out to dinner and then when the kids got bigger we would just go out to eat. Last year we helped with the trunk or treat at church but I have so much going on I didn’t volunteer for that this year. Whatever you all do I pray you have a safe and Happy Halloween.

Someone asked if we actually fished at the fishing party :fishing: Yes indeed, even the adults! Well I say the adults more like the women and children because all of the men were busy baiting our hooks, getting us untangled from logs in the pond, or taking our fish off the hooks. Not mine, I didn’t catch a thing, didn’t even get a bite but we had fun
My MIL and FIL even saw an alligator in the pond. Sunday we went to church then to Applebee’s for lunch. I had the orange chicken bowl that was really good but spicy hot! I couldn’t even finish half of it because my mouth was on fire. When we got home there was a message on the recorder with an invitation to my SIL for a fish fry. Not the fish that was caught from the party but some that they already had so we went over in the evening for that. Tonight is our church council meeting and then I have training on Thursday to go over rules and regulations for the upcoming school elections. The secretary of our church approached me and asked if I would help oversee one of the places that will be setup for voting. I have never done this so I have to go to the training session on Thursday.

I have been wanting to cut back on my blog entries and have decided to post on Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Friday’s for now. I will start this Monday and see if this works for me. It was so cold this morning at 37 but warmed up to 69. The days are just beautiful with lots of sunshine. We had our sorority fall social last evening with a weiner roast and hayride. This is our family event and the kids had lots of fun as well as the adults. I was so thankful for having a blanket on the hayride…it was rather chilly. The moon was so full and beutiful.
Today we have my nephew’s birthday party to attend. He is turning 8 and is having a
fishing party.

Our weather has been so wonderful the last few days with more in store. The low has been around 48 and the high 65 with lots of sunshine. It was no surprise that Mark Cuban went home on DWTS, but it was a surprise that Jane was in the bottom 2! Before I started work yesterday I tackled my ceiling fans that I have been putting off. Since the weather has cooled down I have been able to turn the fans off so every time I walk into a room the dirt jumps out at me. I couldn’t stand it any longer. I don’t think it was a cold I had on Monday just my allergies acting up because I’m all better now. When I deliver and pickup work today I’m going to do a little shopping here in town to see if I can find any cute winter clothes. I don’t need much just a few new tops and another pair of jeans and something comfortable to wear around the house.
