Cleaning Spree

There wasn’t any work for me to pickup on Wednesday afternoon so I spent Thursday cleaning, getting laundry caught up and changed the sheets on the bed. I think I have told you this before but in case you have forgotten…I love clean sheets. :bigbed: We watched the Dallas and Packer game last night so I haven’t watched Survivor yet. Also, I uploaded my post before the game was over so I can’t tell you who won yet. Kalli had a disturbing thing happen to her yesterday. She was putting gas in her car when a guy asked her if she liked to party. She said no and then he started walking towards her and asked her if she wanted to go to a party this weekend. She told him no again and got in her car and left. Luckily she had already finished pumping her gas and was paying for it with my credit card. Do you think Mace Pepper Spray is an okay gift for her stocking this year? Tonight all of Rudy’s family is meeting at El Toro to celebrate my BIL 40th birthday! Next post will be Monday.

DWTS Helio and Julianne won with Mel and Maks coming in 2nd and Marie and Jonathan in third. Monday I got a lot of my Christmas shopping done and found a couple of books on sale at Lifeway for myself. One of them is Never Look Back by Kathy Herman. This is book two in the phantom Hollow series and the other book I got is This Christmas Night by Billy and Ruth Graham. All of my Dept 56 items that I won have arrived in the mail and now I just need to set them up. I will take a pic for you to see as soon as I get them up.

Cold Rainy Weekend

Published by Tracey under Christmas, Everyday, Family, Weather

Friday afternoon Kalli and I did venture out to three places and I got a few gifts bought. The traffic was not bad at all by then and the stores we went in were not crowded. Later in the evening we went back to my inlaws to eat leftovers and then played Yahtzee. Saturday morning around 7 the phone rings and I saw on my caller ID that it was Rudy (he had left early to go deer hunting) and he told me if I wanted to go to Salado today to get ready! It was pouring down rain here so I turned on the computer to check out the weather in Salado and of course it is pouring down there too, plus it was windy and cold. Salado is like Fredricksburg but a little bit smaller with several streets of stores so you are outside walking from store to store and that just didn’t appeal to me with the weather being so nasty. We will go on a pretty weekend. So when he got home he started putting up my tree while Kalli and I got all of the decorations out. We finished decorating yesterday. I decided to stay home from church because I woke to pouring rain again but at least we did get in the 40’s on Sunday whereas we never got out of the 30’s on Saturday. For dinner I fixed a pot of deer chili that was so good especially after all of that holiday food and with the cold weather it really hit the spot. This morning I am dropping off my work and headed to Tyler to do a little shopping. I hope to get caught up on visits today. Enjoy your Monday my friends! :wreath:

Black Friday

Published by Tracey under Everyday, Meme

I totally forgot to upload my post last night. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner and watched the Cowboy’s game afterwards. Those who don’t like football played board games and then after the game we watched Wild Hogs. Most of us had already seen it but my inlaws hadn’t and laughed hysterically as did those of us who had seen it. It was just as good the second time around. Who is brave enough to go out on Black Friday? Kalli and I are going to do a little shopping in the afternoon but there is no way I am going out this morning besides I am having a wonderful relaxing morning and enjoying every minute of it.

Busy Work Week

Published by Tracey under Entertainment, Holidays, Work

It’s been a busy week so far with work. I wasn’t suppose to pickup on Monday but they called and asked if I could since the doctor had worked the weekend. I swung by the clinic before my church meeting. After the meeting we (sorority sisters) met at the school to carpool out to one of our other sister’s house for a night of food, fun, and lots of laughs! I had just finished my Monday work when the clinic called and said the doctor was on a roll and had more work for me then on my way to pick it up another doctor office called and asked if I had time to do a few letters and get them faxed off today. So it has been busy and my plans to do a little Christmas shopping yesterday went by the wayside but I may try to go today since the clinics are both closing at noon and will be closed until next Monday so anything I pick up at noon will not be due until then.
