I was in full speed yesterday putting away my Christmas decorations, cleaning and rearranging some of my things. I also got the laundry caught up and all of the sheets changed on the beds. I didn’t, however, make it to church. I slept in until 8:30 which is late for me. I guess all of the holiday running and going finally caught up with me. I still have my tree to take down but that will come down either tomorrow or the day after. In the evening Rudy and I went to Wal-Mart for household items and groceries. I looked for a DVR/VCR but couldn’t find one I wanted. I should have know they would be cleaned out right after Christmas.

Jigsaw Anyone?

I started a Thomas Kinkade 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle about a month ago and still have a long way to go. I use to could sit for hours working on one, but lately I’m finding it difficult to sit too long doing one thing…I get bored too easy and have to move on to something else. My brothers and I started working jigsaw puzzles when my grandmother (Little Moma) came to live with us. My older brother who was 16 at the time had osteosarcoma and was at MD Anderson and my parents were there with him. My grandmother came to live with me and my two brothers ages 9 and 5, and I was 7. She is the one that got us hooked on them, that and Roller Derby!

We spent three hours at the restaurant visiting with our friends from Alaska. Raymond is going back on Sunday but Stephanie is staying another week. She and I are having lunch one day next week. I picked up work yesterday so that is what I’m working on today. Kalli and I went to see P.S. I Love You last night. Great chick flick! I had already read the book with a book club I was in and knew it would be great if it was anything like the book and it was. I have a new poll up so place your vote before you leave.

After Christmas Sales

Is anyone shopping today? Not me, I’m tired of shopping and going and just want to stay home today and I don’t have to pick up work until Thursday afternoon. We had a wonderful Christmas. We got to my inlaws on Christmas Eve at 1 PM and had lunch and then played yahtzee and visited until church. The service was really nice and then we went back to my inlaws for gift exchange. We didn’t get home until almost midnight and I still had a kitchen to clean up and stockings to fill. My dad came on Christmas morning and we had a big country breakfast and then did our gift exchange. I got money, dishes to complete the set I had started and to make it a 12 piece set, a beautiful wooden trunk (pic to follow), and a Blackberry Pearl Cellphone that I love!

It’s very cold here again! I made my vanilla clusters on Saturday. The recipe is on my recipe page. This is a must have for Rudy and my FIL. They love these things. I also made a new candy this year that everyone here likes but we will see if it is a hit with the family tonight before I add it to my recipe page. Today we going to my inlaws for lunch at 1 and then we will probably play board games and then we are all going to the Christmas Eve service at my inalws church. After the service we will go back to their house for snacks and gifts. This morning I am getting as much done for my family dinner tomorrow as I can possibly do. Christmas morning we will have stockings and then breakfast. My dad is coming up for breakfast and I believe staying for dinner that we will have around 5. :wreath:
