Exciting News

Matt got a job offer with BNSF Railroad stationed in Fort Worth, which is where he wanted. Now all he has to do is pass the big text next Friday. If he passes he will start May 5th, but if he doesn’t pass he has to wait six months before he can take the test again. We had fun last night eating out with the family and after dinner we went to my MIL to have icecream cake and visit. Kalli and I are headed out shopping this morning. We have a 30% chance of rain today but whether it rains or not we have to go since this is the last weekend left to shop before prom next Saturday.

Wild Hair Day

It has been extremely windy here the last few days. When I went to drop off my work yesterday I stopped to get gas on my way. By the time I got back in the car my hair that had looked pretty good beforehand was a total wreck! I fixed it as much as I could before I went into the clinic. Today I am working on some tax stuff and then tonight we are having dinner with all of Rudy’s family for my MILs birthday that was on Wednesday. The last I heard the plan was for El Toro which is always a favorite of mine. Tomorrow, Kalli and I are going to Tyler to get shoes and jewelry for her prom that is next Saturday. New poll is up. Don’t forget to vote before you leave!

Shooo-wee

It stinks around here! Everytime we get a hard rain we have trouble with our water smelling like rotten eggs. When someone takes a shower the whole house smells and it takes forever to get the smell out. It has been this way since last Thursday. We have called to complain along with the neighbors and they say they are working on it but I think it is getting worse. Matt is completely bug free. They start working in the yard with the trains on Thursday. He is so excited about that. I had a pretty slow Monday just finishing up work from Friday’s pickup but when I delivered I had a ton of work to pickup so that is how I spent my Tuesday. I did manage to make a pot of gumbo in the afternoon for our dinner. Rudy has been asking for that for a while now so he was pleased when he got home. I am working this morning and then this afternoon I am going shopping for my MIL’s birthday which is today. We are planning a dinner out on Friday evening to celebrate her birthday so I don’t know if we will take her the gift tonight or just wait until Friday. It will probably depend on what time Rudy makes it in.

I Was Tagged

Published by Tracey under Everyday Life, Family, Friends, Holidays

Kat left me a little note today to say that I had been tagged so I went to her blog to see what it was all about. Here are the rules. You have to tag 5 people and you can’t tag the person that tagged you. You leave them a comment on their blog letting them know you are tagging them and why. You direct them to your blog for instructions. Really what happens when you are tagged is that you tell then fun facts about yourself and then let your tagger know your list is up so they can enjoy learning about you. So on that note, now that the rules are explained, here are my fun facts.

Happy Easter

Published by Tracey under Everyday Life, Family, Holidays, Meme

We are off to church this morning and then to my inlaws where all of the family will gather for a BBQ and egg hunt. The egg hunt could be indoors since there is a chance of rain and the highs will be in the 60’s. It is the same every year it seems. Last year we got sleet and snow on Easter. I am taking the Strawberry Delight dessert that I have on my recipe pages. It is so easy and delicious. Matt called me last night and said he had been sick with a stomach bug and hadn’t been able to keep anything down all day. He was feeling a little bit better when he called and was going down to the lobby to get a sprite and crackers out of the vending machine. I called him before I went to bed and he was able to keep the sprite and crackers down thank goodness. He is so far away and the thought hadn’t even crossed my mind that he could get sick!
