~ Buttercup Hill ~

This has been a rather lazy weekend. Friday, I watched Made of Honor and really enjoyed it! Saturday I didn’t even get out of my p.j.’s, I did cook a big breakfast for Rudy when he returned from deer hunting. He went again later in the day and got home around 8:30 that evening. He didn’t see much, just a few small bucks and a doe or two. Sunday, Rudy and I cooked a late lunch/early supper before the Cowboys game. My boys lost this week making them 3 and 1 now. They lost to the Redskins 26 to 24. Our weather continues to be beautiful! The mornings have been in the 50’s and warming up to the 80’s. I was glad to have Desperate Housewives and Brother’s and Sister’s new season begin.

Cheesey title, but that is all I could come up with, and my mood girl represents how much I love Fridays! Wednesday morning and afternoon we got an unexpected rain shower. It wasn’t much but my weatherbug showed sunshine all day long and no rain in sight? I delivered work Thursday and didn’t have any to pickup so that was nice, having a full day off during the week. Rudy and I went to eat at El Toro last night before his meeting at church then I came home to watch Survivor and then Grey’s that I had recorded. This has been a very busy week of televsion and my recorder has been going nonstop, as I’m sure most of yours has. No plans yet for the weekend. This is the first weekend of deer season for bow hunters so Rudy will be hunting all weekend. He will be hunting on his lease here in town this weekend so he will be home each night. We are thinking of going to see “Lakeview Terrace” tonight if it is playing here. I know it is showing in Tyler, so we could even go there to see it. Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!

I have joined the world of Plurk. Come check it out! You don’t have to join if you don’t want to, but it’s a lot of fun! We are still having cool mornings in the 60’s but the afternoons are heating back up to the high 80’s and then cooling off again. We have been eating all of our meals outside on the deck. This time of the year and the spring is when we use our deck the most.

Rudy and I did something Friday we never do…we went to Chips Burger Village and had vanilla malts made with Blue Bell icecream. They were sinfully delicious. Saturday afternoon we went to Tyler. Rudy went to Gander Mountain for hunting stuff and I shopped at Stein Mart and found the cutest purse. It’s black with zebra print on the front. Oh but where is it now? Kalli has already latched on to it, but promises to let me use it some times. I’m sure all of you mothers with daughters have the same problem. After Stein Mart we went to Barnes and Noble and had a Pumpkin Spice Frappucino while browsing books. Another sinfully delicious treat! Then for dinner we went to Texas Road House and had a steak dinner. So I have been very bad with my diet this weekend and will have to do extra days on the elliptical.

Sorry for my delay in posting this week. With our electricity out over the weekend and then spending all last Friday preparing for Ike I got way behind on work, so that is what I have been doing…catching up. I have more work this weekend, but it’s just as well as Rudy will be in Athens all day tomorrow taking a hunting course. Sunday, he is going to take Kalli out practice shooting. She wants to deer hunt with her daddy this year. I don’t think she realizes how early you have to get up to get on the deer stand, so we will see how long it lasts. On the other hand, when she makes up her mind to do something she goes at it full-force!
