New Year’s Eve 2009

Published by Tracey under Daily News, New Year's

How will you celebrate New Year’s Eve? We are going to my sister-in-laws for snack foods and board games. We are usually home way before midnight, before the drunks take the roads! I really don’t have any resolutions cause I rarely keep them, but I did make a list of things I need to get done in January. Things like, go to the eye doctor, make dentist appointment, get organized, apply for our passports, list of ways to simplify my life, etc. Whatever your plans for this evening, I will be praying for all of my blog friends safety.

Thank you, Judy!

Rudy and Matt left Friday morning for a last hunting trip in Kansas, and Kalli and I headed to Southlake, up around Dallas for a 2-day shopping spree. Here is the Southlake Town Square where we spent most of our time. We stayed at the Hilton right there in the square. Friday night we went to the theater to see Seven Pounds and then to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. After dinner we walked around the square to see the Christmas lights. It was so nice out, I even had on flip flops and never got cold.

Merry Christmas to all of my blog friends! Rudy and I will cook a big breakfast this morning and unwrapping gifts will follow. Later in the day we are going to my dad’s to take him his gift. He usually comes to my house for breakfast and then an early dinner but this year he wanted to stay home.

Our temps have warmed back up again! We also have a 30% chance of rain with a high in the 60’s. We are going to my inlaws for Christmas Eve dinner and then presents afterwards. I am taking my must-have confetti corn and a bread pudding with vanilla sauce. You can click here to see the confetti corn recipe but I don’t have the bread pudding recipe up yet.

Cold Weather and PJ Day

Published by Tracey under Daily News, Weather

Oh my it was cold yesterday! We only got to 29 for a high and had sleet during the morning time. I had a pajama day and enjoyed every minute of it. I did get the laundry caught up and the house picked up. I’m trying to stay on top of things.
