Kalli and I had fun touring the campus of SHSU. We met with an academic advisor and got her registered for fall classes. Now all we have to do is find her a dorm. They have apartment-like dorms that are fairly new, for incoming freshmen, and we have applied for one of those. Our visit to the campus was longer than we thought so we didn’t get much shopping time in. We still have time since the prom isn’t until April 18th.

Not much going on today, just work, but I’m glad it’s Friday! I baked a cake yesterday and took it to my mother-in-laws last night when we went to visit her for her birthday and took her a gift. We had coffee with our cake which I knew was a no-no that late. I could not go to sleep last night! Tomorrow morning, Kalli and I are leaving at 7 to go to Saturday @ Sam at Sam Houston State University where she will be attending college in the fall. We will get to view the dorms and campus, and meet with an academic advisor. I’m hoping to be able to register her for classes while we are there. After that, we are going to drive on down to The Woodlands in hopes of finding a prom dress.

I am finally starting to feel a little more human today. That 14 hour drive really did me in, plus knowing I had to help host sorority Monday night and then, a dear friend of mine from church passed away while we were gone from lung cancer. Her funeral was yesterday. I think my tiredness is both emotional and physical, but I’m feeling better.

We made it home last night around 11:30, after a 14 hour drive! I am beat and really need a nap but I’m afraid if I do give in to a nap I will feel worse when I get up. I’m just gonna tough it out I guess. We had a wonderful trip and as soon as Kalli emails the pics to me I will share them with you. My sister-in-law and I are hosting our sorority meeting tonight at her house. I am providing the food which is pizza, salad, and a turtle pie that I picked up at Brookshires. I knew I would be too tired to cook tonight so I went the easy way ;o)

Kalli and I had no luck with prom dress shopping Tuesday! Her prom isn’t until April 18th so we still have time. I don’t think either one of us was really in the mood to shop. Not sure why she wasn’t, but I had picked up tons of work Monday afternoon and while we were in Dallas, the clinic called to say they had more for me to pick up. It’s hard to enjoy shopping knowing I have so much work waiting on me.
