Sorry to go MIA on you! We had a great but very busy weekend, and Kalli’s graduation party was a hit! The food was all so good and the visiting was even better! There was 50% chance of rain that day but it held off. Kalli’s boyfriends family came and come to find out, his grandmother and Kalli’s grandmother graduated high school together, my dad and the grandfather worked together for several years, and top that off - the boyfriend’s mother and I were good friends in high school. So we had one big class/family reunion going on! We had horseshoes to throw, washers to pitch, table tennis, and the Wii to keep us busy when we weren’t eating or visiting.

Yesterday, Rudy and I attended a pep rally for the seniors at Kalli’s school. They also had a slide show of all the seniors when they were little and as they got older…it was cute but also sad. Most of her graduating class have been together since kindergarten. It was also sad to be reminded of the three classmates they have already lost.

I had posted my Monday post early in the evening on Sunday so many of you don’t know the horrible thing that happened here Sunday night. Bella, our precious Yorkie, fell down our stairs that lead into the basement. I took her to the vet on Monday, and the x-ray confirmed a broken right back leg just above the kneecap and the only way to fix it was surgery. Our vet does these surgeries but has never done one on a small dog and didn’t even have the equipment to do so. She referred us to a surgeon in Athens who does this type of surgery on small dogs. Tuesday morning we saw the surgeon and they did the surgery that day at 1. She came through the surgery just fine he said, and he felt really good about the pins and attaching the knee and bone back together and feels she should have a complete recovery. Thank you Lord! Oh and I want even mention the cost that is so ridiculously high, but that doesn’t matter right now, what does matter is she is fixed and soon to be healed.

The next couple of days are going to be beautiful with highs in the 70’s and lower 80’s and lots of sunshine! We didn’t get to go out in the boat Friday. Rudy had too much work to finish up and a few complications with jobs so no fishing or tanning for me. We did go to the movies Friday night to see Obsessed. I liked it but Rudy didn’t care too much for it! It was similar to the movie Fatal Attraction but not near as good. Saturday afternoon we went to Tyler. Rain was in the forecast and we didn’t want to take any chances getting caught out on the lake in a downpour. We just piddled around and then had dinner at Cheddars before returning home. When we got here we played Wii with Matt and Kalli and then Kalli’s boyfriend came over and we played Skipbo (a card game).
