Our temps have cooled down to around 65 in the mornings and warming up to the 80’s. I have enjoyed my morning coffee on the deck. Friday afternoon we got a nice shower that cooled things down so I took Bella for a walk. She loves our walks and I definitely need the exercise. Early evening I mowed the yard while Rudy mowed the pasture on the tractor. Saturday, I bought groceries and then work on Rudy’s bookkeeping while he repainted our ceiling. I hope he can start on the walls this week. Sunday we went to church and then to lunch at Hilltop where I ran into my aunt and some of my cousins that I haven’t seen in a long time. It is always fun to get caught up on each other’s lives and families!

Happy 23rd birthday Matthew! This concludes our birthdays for August! Not sure if we are doing anything tonight or maybe just wait til the weekend. His friends will probably treat him to dinner.

It pours!! Friday evening we went to see my dad in the hospital and to spend some time with him on his birthday and when we returned home our air conditioner was out! It was 80 degrees in this house and I didn’t get a bit of sleep Friday night. The air guy came out Saturday and got it fixed so thankfully we were not without for too long. Sunday when we came home from church Rudy went to load our downstairs refrigerator with waters and soft drinks I had bought last week and noticed that the refrigerator was not working! So what else can go out you ask? Sunday afternoon we went to my inlaws to eat cause they were cooking us a birthday dinner and when we returned home we saw the water dept down by our neighbors fixing a line or something and Rudy and I just looked at each other, both thinking, you have got to be kidding! Not our water too! Well, it wasn’t our water, but when they were digging a new line they cut our phone line! So I have been without phone and internet since Sunday afternoon! So here I am with air, phone, internet, but still no fridge downstairs!

My dad turns 75 today! Rudy turns 44 on Sunday! Rudy and I are going to see dad this evening and take him his present. Not sure if he will get out of the hospital today or tomorrow. I did go visit him yesterday morning and I was very pleased with his progress. He was getting up and down with no problem and never once had a breathing problem the whole 2 1/2 hours I was there. He looked a lot better and was in a very good mood. I think this new doctor is really doing him some good! I can’t remember the last time I actually saw him feeling this good!
