~ Buttercup Hill ~

Bella just got home from the groomers and while she was away I spent a little time with my new camera. I still don’t have it figured out very well. Some of the pics I take are really good and some are blurry. I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong or different with each shot. For instance the two pics below were taken at the same distance and you can see the first one is not as clear as the second one. She was so tired when we got home, missing her afternoon nap.

Yesterday and over the weekend we were warm but this morning I awoke to 58 for a low. I threw my doors wide open to air out the house. Bella and Peaches love when the doors are open so they can run in and out. Don’t you just love Fall? Our high today was 78!

We have warmed back up with a high already of 85. I had a nice relaxing weekend with the guys away, watching old chick flicks at night. I’m ready for them to come home though and they should be in late tonight. I don’t know about you but sometimes when my life is so busy and a bit overwhelming I think about when I have an empty nest and how nice it will be, well, after this weekend I would much rather have a chaotic household than an empty nest. It sure got lonely at times this weekend.

I’m getting the guys ready to go on their hunting trip. Rudy bought special laundry detergent for their hunting clothes. It’s a scent blocker and also holds in your body scent. So I’m washing all of their hunting clothes and getting them packed for them. Goodness, I’ve never seen two men so excited about a trip! You would think they are going somewhere really special, and I guess to them it is.

We are having cooler temps at 67 right now! I just came in from walking with Bella. She ran outside and instantly threw her nose in the air to sniff the coolness. I even noticed a bounce in her step right along with mine. Don’t you just love cool air? It smells so clean and refreshing! Before our walk I was paying bills but couldn’t sit in the house any longer. Rudy and I are off to Lowes in a bit to order new blinds for the den and office. He got my window box antiqued but waiting on it to try to seal it. Next, the doors and door frames will need to be antiqued but that will probably not happen until next week sometime because he and Matt are leaving tomorrow evening for Kansas to bow hunt for the weekend. I have plenty I can do while they are away - cleaning all of the stain and paint off of my tile floor, cleaning windows, and cleaning and putting my knick knacks back in the window box.
